Our ligne 27 closed top tack buttons are steel material and available in several different basic finishes and non-confined patterns from the factory.  Tacks for attaching through various types of applications are available in several lengths.  Burrs are used in functional or non-functional modes as reinforcement for stitching or to enhance appearance.  They are typically made from steel material and are generally available in nickel plate.

How to Measure Button Ligne Sizes


Snap cap diameters are measured in terms of ligne sizes. A ligne equals .025 inches and there are 40 lignes to the inch. The chart to the right is shown actual size. To quickly find the button diameter, simply place the button on the corresponding circle, the number shown is the actual ligne size.

Example: /24 would be 24 ligne or .600.
